Mom has gone to be with the Lord!

Dear Friends and Family,

 

This morning at 4:00 a.m. Mom (Evelyn Florence Arnold Smith) called me to help her get back into the bed. Yesterday was a little difficult for her as we had to give her morphine to ease the pain. This was only the

second day within this past week that she needed this level of pain medication. She was so blessed not to suffer as others have done with pancreatic cancer.

 

Mom went to be with the Lord at 4:20 a.m. in the arms of my dad and myself.  A few hours later my only sister, Sharon, arrived from Kansas with her husband Jerry.  Sharon had taken a four day trip to be with her family.  Dad is 94 and will greatly miss   Mom, as all of us will.    We are thankful for the prayers of God’s people as His grace has lifted and sustained us.

P.S. Mom’s greatest desire was spreading the Good News of Jesus.  Memorials sent to Delwood Park Assemblies of God missions program would be greatly appreciated by her family in lieu of flowers.
